Ghent - On 18 & 19 February, the 33rd edition of classic salon Flanders Collection Cars took place at Flanders Expo, Ghent. It became an absolute record edition.

The love for oldtimers and retro racing is alive and well. That much is clear. The 33rd edition of the classic salon in Ghent welcomed no less than 10,163 visitors, an absolute record. The variety in the offer of the 153 exhibitors and some special motorsport eye-catchers were most appreciated by the visitors.

The oldtimer fair has become one of the leading oldtimer fairs in Belgium. Moreover, visitors are also increasingly coming from surrounding countries such as the Netherlands and France. Special attention was paid to the off-road theme. Feryn Dakar Sport presented their Dakar Rally bivouac set-up in the presence of Pascal Feryn and Koen Wauters.

In addition, the organisers also highlighted Porsche's rally past. Thus, the Rothmans Porsche 911 with which Tom Boonen recently drove the Legend Boucles @ Bastogne was on display. The big crowd pullers, however, were 2 Porsche 911 SC RS racing cars from the JFD Collection. Only 20 of these unique models were produced.

By the way, the many visitors enjoyed the wide range of oldtimers, yountimers and car memorabilia. A record number of oldtimers found a new owner at the fair.

The next edition of classic salon Flanders Collection Cars Ghent will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February 2024 at Flanders Expo.
