The 2026 edition of Spa Classic once again confirmed why this event has become one of Europe’s premier celebrations of historic motorsport. During an unforgettable three-day weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, more than 400 race cars spanning six decades of motorsport history thundered through the Ardennes in front of packed grandstands, enthusiastic car clubs, and thousands of passionate fans.
The fourteenth edition of the event, organized by Peter Auto, took place from May 22 to 24 and benefited from exceptionally warm and sunny weather. As a result, spectators were able to enjoy nonstop on-track action from early morning until late evening. The legendary Belgian circuit—still regarded by many drivers as the finest in the world—provided the perfect setting for a festival that uniquely combined nostalgia, speed, and accessibility.
What makes Spa Classic so special is not only its impressive entry list, but above all the atmosphere that surrounds the event. Visitors could freely wander through the open paddocks, stand just meters away from priceless prototypes and GT cars, and witness mechanics preparing legendary racing machines before they charged towards Eau Rouge. Many attendees described the event as one of Europe’s most immersive motorsport experiences.
The 2026 edition introduced two major additions: the Heritage Touring Cup 2 and the GT3 Revival Series. Both categories quickly became crowd favorites, particularly the GT3 field, where Ferrari 458s, Audi R8 LMSs, Aston Martin V12 Vantages, and Ford GTs delivered modern-day excitement during this historic racing weekend. The sunset and evening sessions, in particular, produced some of the most iconic images of the event.
Although some loyal visitors lamented the absence of the popular Group C category, this was more than compensated for by the quality and diversity of the remaining grids. From 1960s endurance prototypes to Le Mans legends of the 2000s, the event showcased the evolution of endurance and touring car racing across generations in a truly impressive way.
