On Sunday morning, June 26th, the nature in the middle of the woods, not far from Brussels, woke up to the sound of the purring magnificent classic cars. They were all heading to the starting point for a new edition of the Z-Trophy.
A magical place, situated in a vast green setting inhabited by deer. The perfect place to get ready to drive, fresh coffee in hand and listening carefully to the instructions of Charles-Henri 't Kint, head of the organisation, whose mission was to take the 100 old and newer cars through the beautiful Belgian and French countryside.
Installation of the plates, final checks of the fluids, small exchanges between drivers and co-drivers and the magnificent cars were ready for some great adventures.
The Château de Copreaux was the majestic setting for the traditional lunch, under the watchful eye of the cars parked around the festive tent. Four long tables, like a convivial Breughelian lunch, gathered the big Z-Throphy family.
After the well-deserved lunch, the crews set off for the second part of the roadbook, covering almost 85km towards the Grand Hornu site at MAC'S. The participants were invited to visit the museum and then enjoyed the closing cocktail and prize-giving.
