On Sunday morning all the participants in the carferry gather in Calais. During briefing, the briefing is given and you can enjoy a real 'English Breakfast'. The roadbook starts as we ship in England. Through a blend of typical narrow farmland lanes and smooth winding two-lane tracks, we drive through the rolling Kent countryside, also known as The Garden of England. After an aperostop in a typical English pub, we have lunch in an equally authentic restaurant in the middle of the countryside. The second half of the ride takes us through the protected nature reserve of Sandwich Bay and the cobblestones of Deal to the 'White Cliffs of Dover' that Vera Lynn so beautifully occupied in 1942. The ferry is waiting for us to bring us back to the mainland.
