Autoworld Brussels (Belgium) brought the 'Porsche - Driven By Dreams' exhibition to a festive close on Sunday 25 February with a special 'Cars & Coffee' event attracting hundreds of Porsches and other classic cars to the Parc du Cinquantenaire. The unprecedented collection of unique Porsches was warmly welcomed by many enthusiasts, marking an enthusiastic farewell. The exhibition broke a remarkable record, welcoming more than 73,500 visitors.

Opening on 8 December 2023, 'Porsche - Driven By Dreams' unveiled a collection of 60 never-before-seen Porsches in a unique and atmospheric setting, immediately capturing the public's attention.

Storytelling took centre stage, and interaction with visitors was constantly sought through the "Driven by Dreams" concept.

With the help of a number of national and international "Dreamers", all with a special connection to the Porsche brand, the concept of the dream was highlighted. These included legends such as our national pride and joy, Jacky Ickx, as well as Brussels street artist Vexx, who gave a live artistic performance at one of the events. What's more, photographer Bart Kuykens selected his 20 most emblematic shots especially for this exhibition, displayed in a veritable art gallery.

Special events, including 'Sound Night' where the Porsches' engines roared, and 'A Journey of Expertise' by Brussels Expertise Labels (BEL), added to its appeal. Autoworld is now proudly associated with the BEL association.

The traditional 'Love Bugs Parade' brought together hundreds of Volkswagen Beetles on 11 February, under the theme 'Driven By Love', highlighting the family link between Porsche and its predecessor, the VW Beetle. The event was a resounding success.

The closing 'Cars & Coffee' on 25 February added a festive note to the final day of 'Porsche - Driven By Dreams', with over 420 Porsches and classic cars in attendance.

The Kids Corner was also a great success, offering young visitors the chance to let their creativity run wild by building dream Porsches with Lego bricks, colouring them in and bringing them to life with a dedicated projector during weekends and holiday periods.

Adults were also invited to express their creativity by taking part in the photo competition and a photo workshop. The images were widely shared on social networks and the three best photographers were rewarded at the 'Cars & Coffee' event, with their shots immortalised in large format.

Porsche - Driven By Dreams' was a captivating interactive experience. The 'Born2Drive' racing simulator challenged participants to determine the fastest virtual Porsche driver. In a thrilling final on 17 February, Calogero Lopez emerged as the fastest of the nine finalists.

In total, 'Porsche - Driven By Dreams' attracted more than 73,500 visitors to Autoworld, setting a new attendance record for an exhibition. Autoworld has begun 2024 under the best of auspices. Looking to the future, a new temporary exhibition, 'VW Golf 50th Anniversary', will open on 1 March, featuring some fifteen VW Golfs to celebrate the anniversary. Various events, including a 'Cars & Coffee' event on 24 March, are planned to underline Autoworld's commitment to being more than just a museum.
