Shrimp Ride 2017 - VAS Riding Sport Navigation
3 Stages, 5 Maple Tests and 100% RAC Rally Feeling

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, Car Club North Sea launches with the 11th edition of the Shrimp Riding, the 5th Manche of the VAS Riding Championship. A non-everyday riding sportsman, because the organizers want to unpack again with a navigational kit that is open to the "wide public" wrapped in a unique old-fashioned atmosphere.

Pieter D'hoore, contest leader: "The decor where the last 2 editions played our game in is phenomenal. But, as an organizing rider, we are even more proud to be able to turn off a navigation kit in which everyone can take part in the RAC rally feeling. You do not have to be an experienced mess or know the entire rules book from outside to enjoy our course. These are especially natural factors that make finding the right way out difficult. The darkness, the paths covered by fallen leaves, the little illuminated forest roads, etc. Just that makes us unique while the ridden athletes can catch their heart on the roadbook's subtleties. Of course this year again in our typical decor ... "

Focus on 'secret trail'
Autoclub Noordzee will also be able to recall Bjorn Vanoverschelde, Belgian Westhoek Classic Exporter and from the Ypres Rally Regularity from 2018. "In general, the course for the forthcoming edition looks quite similar to that of 2016. Of course, there are some changes to continue to provide an innovative course. For example, this year's competition will not start with a connection, but it will be time for competition from the start line. Competition in the form of a short local 'warm-up' round in which the A17 highway and the right way next to it will be over or below the thread. After this first short stage - which can take care of the first penalty points and minutes - and a short break follows the main break of the match. A very long forest ladder of about 80 kilometers straightforward navigate along castles and forests. After a connecting step, the forest stage starts at the edge of the Vagevuurbos. From the first meters so action immediately. With passages along Doomkerke & Kruiskerke, the trail immediately recognizes new forest roads compared to last editions, while the percentage of unpaved trails decreases compared to 2015 and 2016. The paved forest roads will be challenging at the end of October / early November ... After a passage around the castle van Schuurlo (known from previous editions) we head straight to the forests of the Bruges Ommeland, Also new compared to past editions. A thoroughly modified second stage, but the biggest novelty is undoubtedly the division of this forest case into 2 parts. At the start of stage 2, the roadbook will not contain the full route of the stage but only half! Halfway through the stage - in the middle of the hottest battle - we will return to the inhabited world and a marshall will hand over the teams to the roadbook that will lead them to the finish. An additional reference to the earlier nightly journeys with a secret trail and with which we want to keep the tension in the game continuously ... Difficulty categories
Participate can be in one of the 3 difficulty categories. The class of recreation is open to debutants, while the tourism class will get some additional difficulties in combination with a slightly larger variety in navigation systems. In both categories, navigate pur sang with a clear roadbook at the front. Those who want to meet the biggest card league challenges can go to the sports class. The routines will provide a trail where natural elements (such as closed railways, new bridges & castles) make it difficult to follow the route, while maintaining a perfect balance between driving and navigating. Authorized vehicles

All vehicles, regardless of their year of manufacture, are allowed until the start. However, the vehicles must be in line with Belgian traffic laws and traffic regulations. And even though the track has a RAC rally content, the organization will keep an eye on the field to take out riders.
Rules & Registration
With 89 cars last year (and only 90 teams admitted to the start) it seems to be a drummer for a place. The rules can be consulted and registration can be made from August 15 through www.autoclubnoordzee.be. Do not wait too long to register, because full = full.

still more proud of organizing rallies, we are succeeding in a navigation kit
set off where everyone can enjoy the RAC rally feeling "
