The 2010 Grand Prix Masters and World Sportscar Masters series both kicked off at Silverstone over the Easter weekend, supporting the football backed Superleague series opener. Using the full Grand Prix Bridge circuit, both series provided high speed entertainment and excitement.

The Grand Prix Masters had two races, one on Good Friday, the other on Saturday, with a combined result. Bill Coombs won the first race on a wet track driving his Tyrrell 009 after early leader Anthony Reid retired. Fast charging Katsuaki Kubota started from last on the grid to finish 2nd overall. Abba Kogan bought his Arrows A3 home in 3rd place. In the second race on Saturday, Coombs held the early lead in his Tyrrell until Anthony Reid got his Williams FW07B back out in front. Reid then had to try to fend off a late challenge from Katsuaki Kubota, who finally took the lead on the final lap and won the second race. This also gave Kubota the overall combined victory from Bill Coombs and Abba Kogan.
