Cambre Classic Rally 2009

cambreclassicplateThis sunday 27th september, the sun was with us during the second edition of the "Cambre Classic Rally". After an excellent breakfast and coffee served at the Autoworld in Brussels, all the participants left the Cinquantenaire for a wonderful drive in the flemish and french countryside.

Cambre is a Brussels-based, integrated public relations and public affairs consultancy and this year, the rally aims to raise funds for the Belgian Foundation against cancer. The name of the rally, the "Cambre Paul Jackson Memorial Classic Rally", and the link to the Belgian Foundation against Cancer, are in memory of Paul Jackson, the founder of Cambre who died of cancer earlier this year. Paul was a great fan of classic cars, thoroughly enjoyed last year's rally and was very excited at the prospect of organising the rally again in 2009. The funds that are raised will be donated to the Belgian Foundation against cancer in his name.

Patrick Malherbe and his experience made helped to make this day a perfect rally day, thanks to a great organization, a perfectly well designed roadbook and a wonderful ending location "La Ferme de la Bilande" where a delicious lunch under the tree was served surrounded by our cars.

A lot of the participants were first-timers and for some of them, a passion might be born and we certainly hope so. Here is a collection of the pictures we took during the day.
