Anna-Louise Felstead is a
London based reportage artist and illustrator who draws and paints
on location. Her work focuses on people within environments where
she always captures something of the Naïve in the many and varied
scenes she paints. She graduated from the Royal College of
Art in 2003 and has since documented subjects that are usually only
covered by photographers. Her work has apperaed in numerous
magazine and newspapers and has taken her backstage at London
Fashion Week, to Cartier Polo events in St.Moritz and Dubai, on
Royal Navy aircraft carriers and more recently onto the classic car
racetrack. |
In March 2008 she attended the Monaco Grand Prix
Historique where she was commissioned to paint car scenes and
portraits. Since then her work has taken her to Monza, Dijon,
Silverstone, Goodwood, Donington, Oulton Park, Mallory Park, the
Nurburgring, Paul Ricard and Spa. Not only does she depict
the cars, but the people involved with
racing.
She recently took part in the Historic Monte Carlo
Rally where she drove a 1957 Alfa Giulietta Ti and is about to get
her National B racing license. She paints with ink on paper
and her style varies between black and white line drawings to fully
coloured paintings.
