The Bank Holiday weekend was very busy in the UK for car events. One of the more scenic venues was the Chateau Impney Hotel at Droitwich in Worcestershire. The Stratford upon Avon Motoring Festival had arranged a road tour out from Stratford on the May Day Holiday weekend to visit the Chateau Impney Hill Climb Course, which has been revived for 2015. The drive to this hotel, which is based on a French Chateau design, was used for motorsport back in the 1950s and 60s. The venue has decided to revive the event for 2015, and as the course is now longer than the original course, and has more elevation, the new event will be a Hill Climb on the weekend of the 11th and 12th July 2015 for cars build before 1967. The Tour arrived early morning to bright and sunny conditions where they were able to drive the hill climb course at a sedate pace. Unfortunately, many of the people on the tour did not seem able to read the road book quite right and most did not follow the course at their first attempt. Eventually all the cars made it up past the impressive Chateau and it gave a great taste of what is to come in July.
